MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to teach, grow and honor the game of lacrosse by providing leadership, guidance, training, and structure to foster a life-long enjoyment for the game of lacrosse for youth boys and girls, residing in or going to school in Pelham. PYL will offer programs for youth boys and girls from kindergarten through the 8th grade.
Programs will include teaching:
- individual fundamental skills,
- the essentials of team play, and most importantly,
- good sportsmanship.
PYL will encourage players to develop a:
- positive attitude,
- self-discipline,
- respect for others, and
- a commitment to the success of their team and club.
PYL strives to provide fair playing time to each participant across the season. The makeup of some opponents may make fair playing time not possible for that game if we are to remain competitive but we will attempt to make up for any deficiency in future games. Fair playing time will be based on a player’s attitude, attendance, and ability.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SCHOLARSHIPS
PYL is a non-profit 501C-3 organization dedicated to providing the youth of Pelham, New York opportunities to learn and play the sport of lacrosse. We do not want financial capability to prevent a child from being able to participate in our lacrosse programs.
We recognize that the combined cost of registration and lacrosse equipment is significant. If these costs are a burden, PYL is prepared to provide assistance when possible.
Should you require assistance, please contact Scott Humphrey, President at scotthumphrey22@gmail.com. Your request will be reviewed quickly and be kept in strict confidence.
